ThoPlue Rounded Lid shape is reminiscent of the Chinese ginger jar. Picture a robust barrel shape, its deep and high rim ready to cradle life’s abundance. The gently curved or straight sides rise gracefully from a base narrower than the mouth. Despite its short base, the exterior decoration often flaunts a grand, high-base appearance subtle nod to glorification and compliments. Once, this small size urn was used to contain betel nuts and leaves, their practicality woven into daily life. But as the 19th century waned, so did betel chewing. The urns transformed into coveted decorative collectibles, symbols of status by the value of craftsmanship art. Today, they serve profound purposes: from preserving memories similar to cremation urns from Western-style elegance. DokMaiKhod design consists of a contemporary pattern of twisted flowers that is a swirling vine of Thailand called “SroiFah” which is the Passifloraceae or Passionflower. This flower consists of pink and purple colors. It is also influenced by Indian art blended to build up colorful lines.
